Today, ACP members from Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria shared news and views from around the country in our monthly zoom check-in.

While pandemic restrictions in Victoria will likely be tightened further as the number of new COVID cases and deaths is still growing, colleagues from other parts of the country report that it’s pretty much ‘business as usual’. Distance from major population centres has become a distinct advantage, so much so that the Regional Australia Institute hosted a webinar earlier this week to discuss whether regional Australia will be leading the country’s economic recovery.

Whether in the regions or the cities, Community Foundations will be central to communities having a voice and an active role in local recovery efforts in due course.

To showcase the essential contribution of community philanthropy to local life, we urge you to nominate your organisation or a special project for the Community Philanthropy Award 2020. More information is included below.

Stay safe, stay well, and let’s follow the rules to help stop the spread of C-19.
