Last week, the live streamed Australian Philanthropy Awards ceremony celebrated Australia’s diverse philanthropy sector. Congratulations to Philanthropy Australia on curating a fabulously innovative and accessible online event.

Australian Community Philanthropy congratulates our members Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation, winner of the Better Philanthropy Award; and FRRR, whose Tackling Tough Times Together program was recognised with the Best Grant Program Award. ACP supporter Gandel Philanthropy received the Bolder Philanthropy Award.

The inaugural Community Philanthropy Award was shared by ACP members Give Where You Live and Geelong Community Foundation as funders of the ‘Geelong Kids as Catalysts’ program with Kids Thrive Inc. as the program partner. Further details on the amazing work of these organisations and the 2020 Australian Philanthropy Awards can be found below.

As this challenging year is starting to wind down, the ACP board and team look forward to catching up with members one more time around the Zoom screen at our 2020 Annual General Meeting.

Warmly,

Gerlinde Scholz
Executive Officer
