Hope, like every virtue, is a choice that becomes a practice that becomes spiritual muscle memory. It’s a renewable resource for moving through life as it is, not as we wish it to be.”

– Krista Tippett

Writing from Melbourne in continued Stage 4 lockdown, I can’t think of anything better to share here than that quote. After a week of many phone conversations with ACP members, it seems to me that people working in community philanthropy have by and large made their choice to go with hope over the alternatives. It’s a privilege to be part of such a dedicated, positive community of practice.

In this edition of Community Philanthropy News you will find some good news stories, information to make us think about what lies ahead, and resources to help us navigate these challenging times. I trust you’ll find something of use and something to inspire among the items that follow.

Warmly,

Gerlinde Scholz
Executive Officer
